For many years, I have been studying the various fields of parapsychology including near-death experiences (NDEs), reincarnation, after-death communications (ADCs), death-bed visions (DBVs), precognition, telepathy, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, poltergeists, demonization, transdimensional communications, physical and mental mediumship, etc. I have read ninety-four of such books since I started keeping track and in my top five is Dr. Victor Zammit's book, "A Lawyer Presents the Evidence for the Afterlife."I have purchased multiple copies of his book and encouraged others to read it. One of my friends, who was basically agnostic before reading it, now says he is excited about who we are and no longer afraid of death. As any good lawyer would do, Dr. Zammit thoroughly researched his case and gathered the best examples of NDEs, ADCs, DBVs, mediums, and so on, all of which are evidence for survival of consciousness after death. And also like a good lawyer, he is concise. He makes his case and leaves it in the hands of the jury (us) to decide. It's a marvelous book. I enjoyed every page.

Whether you are an experienced afterlife researcher or a curious beginner, you will not want to miss this book. The authors have an encyclopedic knowledge complete with facts, names, and dates combined with a very charming writing voice and faultless logic. Entertaining. Compelling. I was sorry when it ended and yes, I will re-read it and refer to it as an excellent resource.
this marvelous book brings hard evidence to bear on a topic that has been traditionally viewed as woo-woo. the evidence is from professors and scientists of past ages and also this modern one. most importantly the author counts in his own experience. these combine for a thorough study of the subject of the afterlife leaving no stone unturned.
This book does a great job of indicating over 20 types of evidence that support the existence of psychic and spiritual experiences. What I hope the Zammit's do for the sequel is to relay the content of the information obtained from each type of evidence. They do include a final chapter entitled "What Happens When We Die?", which gives the reader a taste of the information they could share. I would like to read quotes from each modality of communication, such as on the purpose of life, ways in which one can evolve while in the physical, and what we do with ourselves when we are discarnate.
Gotta love this book! Containing very good empirical evidence for the existence of the afterlife!
I quitted Christianity October 17th, 2013 and was an atheist first after I found out how much BS The Bible was and conflicting Christianity doctrines are. Then in New Year of 2014, became a deist and eventually I got more and more interested in Spirituality by the end of 2014.
I had feelings of the afterlife (as described in the book) before I acknowledged this book! I am very firm afterlife exists for obvious reasons and science today supporting the existence of the afterlife, its that closed minded skeptics are too stubborn to see it that way. Even an atheist friend of mine tried to tell me NDEs are hallucinations, but there is no scientific evidence or conclusions backing that up. Hallucinations are random things seen that aren't there, but why then NDEs get a same result of bright light, loved ones and common message that its not their time and seen and felt clear as day and organizing way? Stubborn Negationists (closed minded skeptics) I call them.
I really really recommend this book to afterlife researchers and all skeptics.

book is compelling, persuasive, believable. I am a former and reformed elder of a Church of Christ eighty nine year old veteran of the 1945 Pacific War. have had at least four recognizable contacts with my wife of sixty seven years who "died" Sept. 25, 2015. I am not inexperienced or uneducated.
This book was very clearly written, organized, and very readable to ordinary folks like myself. I was amazed at the amount of documented, peer-reviewed, laboratory tested, verified, researched evidence of the reality of the Afterlife. I was so uplifted upon reading this lovely, information packed book. I highly and strongly recommend it to anybody who still, after all the current research done on NDEs, OBEs, and after death communications, has an inkling of doubt hanging around in the recesses of their brain, to please take the time to read this book. You won't be sorry. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it forever has a place in my personal living room library of great books. Awesome book and authors!!!!
This is the most persuasive case I have ever seen presented by any lawyer on any subject during my 35 years in the profession. I have personally experienced many of the things described, some of which got me involuntarily committed in 2013, when I received telepathic communications from my deceased parents. If the medical professionals and my family members had the information in this book, rather than ignorance to guide them, my experience would probably have been a lot more pleasant, in that I would not have been forced to recant and deny some of the most emotionally uplifting experiences I have had, just to escape the looney bin. I can now confirm that finding out that you're not crazy after all is a very affirming experience... but it pales in comparison to the absolute confirmation that we are eternal and immortal beings having a human experience. That bit of information doesn't just take the cake ... it is the cake.
